Starship Earth - A New Year - A New Song
Today, I’m excited to share Starship Earth, released under my recording artist name, BinaryLady. Starship Earth is meditative songwriting, a sonic experience that marries chamber pop with digital futurism. It is a gift for the new year—a creative oasis where we might gather our center before starting anew.
Where we direct our attention shapes how our energy moves and evolves. In every moment, we have a choice: focus on what depletes us—whether it’s distractions, doubts, or negativity—and we drain our own power.
Conversely, if we focus on what nourishes us—curiosity, creative pursuits, or supportive connections—we expand our energy and reinforce our power.
When we focus on what truly stirs our hearts—curiosity, nature, or creative expression—we renew our spirits and root ourselves in genuine love. We enable the conditions for flow, the creative golden chalice. Flow is like being moved by the hand of your creator.
Each of us carries an inner universe brimming with possibility. Where we aim our attention, our energy follows.

Below are the lyrics that first sparked the piece. The poem is intended as a brief, immersive meditation on small memories of nature, collaged through audio and visual experiments using generative AI and multi-stage, poetic prompting, digital audio processing with Logic Pro, and video editing with Adobe After Effects to generate an immersive visual and sonic experience.

Process
I believe in multidisciplinary experimentation as a way of engaging with the world. I design clothing that captures the essence of an idea, write code that transforms imagery, and compose music and video with the same intuition.
The juxtaposition and iterations spark perspectives I might never have reached otherwise.

In martial arts practice, we learn beginner’s mind, the fundamental center from which new information can enter our minds without fear and judgment. When we are defensive, our typical response to novel information is to feel threatened by our lack of understanding.
Beginner’s mind is the template for curiosity. Curiosity is how we remain open, like an Origami box unfolding into a forest or whatever you dream of creating.
